Coby Chasman-Beck is a New York based lighting designer who's background includes theater, dance, fashion, corporate events, industrial design, concerts and broadcast. His international work extends to such countries as Ireland, England, Poland, Italy, Dominican Republic, Canada, China and India. Coby’s awards include the United Solo Award for Best Lighting Design for his work on Mutant Olive on Theatre Row. Previous collaborators include The Roundabout Theater Company, Battery Dance Company, The Guthrie Theatre, The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, The 5th Avenue Theatre (Seattle), The Falcon Theatre, Debbie Allen Dance, Cabrillo Music Theatre, The Fountain Theatre, NoHo Arts Center, Air Light Design, Nate Holden Performing Arts Center, Seattle Theatre Group, Light Opera of New York, Purchase Rep; Katselas Theatre Company, Beverly Hills Playhouse, Manhattan School of Music, The Ordway Center and CS Global. Coby currently serves on the faculty at Williams College and Rutgers Univeristy.
